It’s time for the last giveaway in honor of craft month and this one was so easy to choose. With my Mom’s birthday around the corner, and Mother’s Day not too far away, I decided on the materials for making a beautiful pin. I call this a “Fantasy Flower Pin” because you can get creative with favorite colors and accent with a bead or button. The instructions are in my Locking Loops book and it’s also included in this giveaway. These are great accents on hats, hair ornaments, belts, or as a pretty pin. They can be hooked on linen burlap, 6-mesh or 5-mesh canvas. I like to lightly paint the burlap with Lumiere paint for a subtle shimmer of color. The winner will receive, linen burlap, Lumiere paint, yarn, a bundle of Color Crazy Sari Ribbon, and a vintage button for an accent. All you need to do is comment/post what you would like to locker hook, or how you discovered locker hooking on this blog and like the Color Crazy Facebook Page for more info. But first, I need to announce the winner of last week’s competition…Congratulations Katy Kat!! You’re receiving the kit of materials for the Floppy-Eared Bunny Basket.
A charming, easy-to-make and inexpensive bunny basket locker hooked out of cotton muslin, yarn, and seam binding.
We’re on to week three of giveaways and with Easter and egg hunts around the corner, I thought a kit with materials for the Floppy-Eared Bunny basket would be the perfect giveaway. It’s featured in my Locking Loops book and is one of the sweetest items I’ve ever locker hooked. You could actually turn it into a puppy or a kitty cat by just changing the shape of the ears and adding whiskers. But first a quick drum roll to announce the winner of last weeks drawing…Congrats go out to Ashley Martin!! Ashley will receive a kit with materials to make a Sari Silk Bangle Bracelet and the Locking Loops book. To enter this week’s drawing, be sure to post on this blog and “like” the Color Crazy Facebook page. Please post about what you’d like to locker hook and what you think would make for a great locker hooking kit.
Here’s the bunny basket under construction…
p.s. Check out the updated Color Crazy Gallery. I hope you find it inspirational.
I love doing giveaways. They really are a way to inspire more ways to create with locker hooking. This past week’s winner is Kathy Lauren. Congrats Kathy! I think you’re going to have fun making the locker hooked and crocheted trivet. By the way, there’s a new video on YouTube for a Scallop Frame coaster with crochet. It’s similar for the trivet.
For this next week, I’m giving away the tools and materials to make a bangle bracelet with Color Crazy Sari Ribbon Strips. The video tutorial for this bangle bracelet design is on the YouTube ColorCrazy1 Channel. To win, you just have to post what you like about locker hooking or what you’d like to create, and like Color Crazy on Facebook. The deadline is this next Friday, March 16.
p.s. Kathy, please contact me at info@colorcrazy to make sure I have your shipping address.
