Craft Kit: 3-Legged Piggy on Locker Hooked Magic Carpet

I was out shopping on a road trip with my sisters and friends when I discovered a 3-legged little pig hand-crafted out of clay. Adorable. It’s made in the tiny village of Pomaire, Chile, where artisans are known for their amazing pottery. It is believed that little pigs they called “chanchitos” bring good luck. 3-legged little ones are especially fortunate. They are traditionally given to friends as tokens of goodwill and love. I love mixing up cultural traditions and folklore so I decided to locker hook a magic carpet for my new lucky charm.
He looked so cute on the magic carpet, I created some locker hooking craft kits so Color Crazy customers could have one too. Great gift idea for introducing someone new to the craft of locker hooking or just for crafting and giving. They’re available in two color variations– Multi and Blues.
The kits include: Locker hook, tapestry needle, 5-mesh canvas, hand-dyed fabric strips, locker hooking medium, hand-crafted 3-legged ceramic piggy, a small tapestry bag for the piggy, and the pattern with instructions.
This is definitely the easiest and most fun starter kit from Color Crazy. It’s a coaster size, you use 1 yard strips of fabric in a great variety of vibrant colors, and you don’t have to sew in tails if you leave them out for fringe.
