First locked hooking project

Locked hooking is a lot of fun. My basket turned out okay, looked like a basket anyway. :-) Subsequently ordered a yard of mesh, parts of which are now being turned into napkin rings. Thank you so much, Teresa.

My mistake!

I have made many projects from Color Crazy. I was excited to complete this small basket for my daughter for Easter. Somehow, I did not count correctly, and ran out of materials just as I was finishing the basket. It is a mess. I am so disgusted with myself. I used materials I had from Color Crazy to try to finish, but the look is ruined. This is just a caution to others to please count carefully and follow directions. Don’t be a dope like me! 😢

Now my favorite candy dish

Got my kit, packaged with care as usual. Opened it immediately. Fell in love with the colors. Started hooking right away. My first project in over five years and went without a hitch. SO glad to be back in the medium. Am now hooked again. Looking forward to many more kits in the future, as well as designing down the road.

Basket & Trivet Kits - Fabulous!

After hesitating for a few months, I finally got out the kits I purchased last June. First I made the trivet with small gauge canvas as it was for a Christmas gift It was so easy and beautiful! It was helpful to have Theresa's book for additional guidance. Now I'm working on the small basket in the Indigo Jewels colorway and experiencing the difference between the sizes of canvas and fabric strips and also how to connect two pieces. It was great to have the prepared kits. Soon I will begin making coasters with a combination of wool rug yarn and batik fabric strips. I think there's a rug in my future also. There is only one problem... it's taking some of my knitting time, but the quick results and simple finishing are so welcome. The coasters will also be easy to transport to work on while waiting for appointments, and I'll be sharing this functional craft with my fellow yarn/knitting/crocheting/weaving friends. Thanks for your attention to detail. I will be ordering again!
